The AT-29 Super Tucano

The AT-29 Super Tucano is a two-seater training aircraft of the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer. We have tried to make this aircraft as true to the original as possible as an RC model. Although the wings, rudder and elevator are not enlarged, our Super Tucano has absolutely uncritical, very pleasant flight characteristics. To achieve this, we have used a relatively thin airfoil.

This is also one of the reasons (besides the higher cost and weight) why we did not use a retractable landing gear. The Planeprint Super Tucano has a fixed landing gear that is almost entirely 3D printed.

Our Tucano has several design innovations, such as the internally ventilated spinner, a new frame design for the inside of the fuselage or the TPU-decoupled front and main landing gear.
