The Slingsby T31 Cadet aircraft is a glider developed by the British company Slingsby Sailplanes Ltd in the 1950s. It was designed as a training aircraft for gliding clubs and flying schools and quickly gained great popularity due to its simple operation and robust construction.
The 3d printable version of Planeprint is true to the original except for minor changes, all ribs and bulkheads are mapped on the surface and create a very true to original look. This STL data set contains two versions, a pure glider version and a special extra – a version with a hidden EDF drive, which is even ground launchable. The hidden EDF is an exclusive Planeprint innovation that works without an additional servo, the mechanics are triggered exclusively by the EDF thrust itself. This allows motorized operation of this vintage glider without visible drive!
With the integrated F-tow coupling, problem-free towing is also possible.
Also included are other practical features, such as a strap-on stand for transport and storage, and a specially designed launch trolley that clamps to the landing skid and can be dropped using a TPU belt – connected to the tow coupling. This makes the EDF version autonomously ground launch capable.
